Tour Plan
Welcome to Jammu, the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir. You will be received by the Holidays Retreat’s representative at the Jammu Airport / Railway Station and transferred to your hotel in Katra, the base camp for Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra. Check in at the hotel and relax in your cozy room. You have the rest of the day at leisure to explore the town or enjoy the hotel facilities. Have a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
After a delicious breakfast, proceed to the helipad and board a helicopter that will take you to Sanjichhat, the nearest point to the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi. From there, you will trek for a short distance to reach the temple entrance. You will need to show your return boarding pass for a priority darshan at the shrine. Seek blessings from Mata Vaishno Devi, who is believed to be a manifestation of Goddess Shakti, Goddess Saraswati, and Goddess Lakshmi. The cave temple houses three rock formations or pindis that represent these three forms of the divine mother. You can also buy prasad from the shrine shop as a souvenir of your pilgrimage. Mata Vaishno Devi Temple is one of the most revered Hindu shrines in India and attracts millions of devotees every year. It is located on the Trikuta Hills, about 14 km from Katra. After completing your darshan, return to Sanjichhat and board the helicopter back to Katra. Spend the night at your hotel in Katra.
